Prize Draw – Music Study

MusiConnect “Music & Emotions” Prize Draw – Terms and Conditions

The prize draw is organised by the MusiConnect research team conducting the “Music & Emotions” study via the MuPsych mobile application.

The prize draw is open to individuals who:

Have completed at least 10 sets of Music Questions and at least the first 5 surveys in the ‘Music & Emotions’ study prior to the prize draw date.

Have reached the digital age of consent in their country of residence (typically 16, or 13 where local law permits)
Have provided consent to participate in the prize draw by completing the ‘Prize draw/ study invite’ survey listed within the Music & Emotions study in the MuPsych app.
Are able to confirm their country of residency and provide any other required information if drawn as a winner.

Six (6) winners will be selected at the end of the six month competition period, starting on 1 November 2025 and ending on 1 May 2026.
Each winner will receive one (1) digital voucher redeemable for six (6) months of Spotify Premium (subject to availability in their country and Spotify’s own terms).

The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
The prize will be delivered as a digital code via the MuPsych app, or through email if provided by the winner.

Eligible participants who complete 10 sets of Music Questions and 5 surveys in the ‘Music & Emotions’ study, and consent via the ‘Prize draw/ study invite’ survey will be automatically entered into the draw.
The draw of 6 winners will take place soon after the competition ending date of 1 May 2026 (within 2 weeks).

Winners will be selected at random using a computer-based randomisation process from all eligible entries received before the ending date.

NOTE: the draw process was altered on 15 Jan, 2026 so that all 6 prize vouchers are drawn at the end of the competition period, rather than 1 per month. This was done due to avoid issues with contacting winners. The total prize pool (6 x 6-month Spotify premium vouchers) remains the same.

Winners will be notified within 7 days of the draw via their provided email address (or directly through the MuPsych app if an email wasn’t provided).
Winners may be required to provide certain information (e.g. country of residence, proof of age, or tax identification number) in accordance with applicable laws in order to claim their prize.
If the required information is not provided within 14 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select an alternate winner.

Participation in the prize draw is conditional upon provision of consent in the ‘Prize draw/ study invite’ survey.
Personal data will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and relevant national legislation.
Only the minimum necessary data will be collected and used solely for the purpose of verifying eligibility and delivering the prize.
Data will not be shared with third parties unless required by law. For more information, see the MuPsych privacy policy.

The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with these terms or that are suspected of fraud or abuse.
The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equal or greater value in the event of circumstances beyond its control.
The Promoter is not responsible for technical issues, app malfunctions, or failures beyond its control that may prevent entry or delivery of the prize.
The Promoter reserves the right to amend or cancel the prize draw or these terms at any time, but will make reasonable efforts to notify participants in the event of any significant changes.
Spotify is not affiliated with or a sponsor of this prize draw.
Each eligible participant will have one entry into the draw, and will not be able to win more than 1 of the 6 vouchers.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the country in which the Promoter is based (Finland), and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the local courts.
